UNSTABLE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE INTO THE WEEKEND

May 30, 20191579Views

3Oth May 2019 – An area of deep tropical moisture and an upper level trough will continue to create unstable weather conditions into the weekend. Doppler radar has indicated showers and thunderstorms lingering mainly south of St. Croix, and Puerto Rico.

As daytime heating increases in conjunction with the present moisture and trough, the potential for increased shower and thunderstorm activity will be possible.

In addition, any shift in shower activity from the south to further north will also increase this potential.  Although shower activity has been minimal in the BVI, it is important to monitor these conditions in the event this activity increases warranting alerts to be issued.
