MORE SHOWERS POSSIBLE TONIGHT..WATCH OR WARNING MAYBE ISSUED

October 9, 20172023Views

Weather conditions are expected to be cloudy tonight with a 40 percent chance of showers then increased cloudiness tomorrow with a 70 percent chance of showers and a 40 percent or medium chance of afternoon thunderstorms.

These conditions are as a result of a deep layered trough interacting with a weak tropical wave which will continue to cause an unstable and moist atmosphere over the region for the next 48 hours. Hence, there is a high chance of some showers and even thunderstorms developing over the islands for the next two days.

Beyond Wednesday, a more stable and less moist atmosphere will yield little shower activity under generally partly cloudy skies.

Two other tropical waves are also being monitored as they may have an effect on the Territory later this week.

Please continue to monitor local media stations, DDM’s website (bviddm.com) and Facebook at BVIDDM for regular updates.
