6th December 2017 – Synopsis: A broad high-pressure system will generate a moderate to fresh breeze over the BVI during the next 24hrs. By tonight, an increase in moisture aided by these winds will increase the chance of brief showers over and around these islands
Today: Partly cloudy with a moderate chance of a brief shower
Tonight: Partly cloudy to locally cloudy with occasional brief showers mainly after midnight into early tomorrow
Winds: East -northeasterly at 19-33 km/h or 10-18 knots peaking to near 22 knots over coastal waters and gusting higher in showers mainly tonight.
Seas: Moderate to rough with heights between 1.8-2.4m or 6-8ft and peaking near 10ft or 3.1m in the waters north and east of the islands early tomorrow. Warnings are in effect for small craft operators and sea bathers against hazardous seas main in the Atlantic Ocean north and east of the islands..
