23rd June 2018 – Synopsis: A tropical wave will cause some more unsettled weather across the area today. Thereafter, a surface to low level ridge of high pressure along with dry and dusty air from the Sahara Desert will inhibit shower activity. The dust will also reduce air quality to moderate levels.
Weather today: Cloudy with a 60 percent or a moderate chance of showers.
Weather tonight: Partly cloudy with a 30 percent or a low chance of showers.
Winds: East at 26 to 41 km/h or 12 to 20 knots with occasional strong gusts reaching near 56 km/h or 30 knots.
Seas: Moderate to rough with significant wave heights of 1.5 to 2 metres or 5 to 7 feet. A small craft advisory is in effect. Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions.
