The first tropical wave for 2o23 has come off the coast of Africa. According to the forecaster Chan of the NWS National Hurricane Centre in a Tropical Weather Discussion, states that an eastern Atlantic tropical wave is near 16W from the coast of Guinea-Bissau and southward, and moving westward near 10 kts. Widely scattered moderate convection is noted near the wave from 07N to 08N between the Sierra Leone coast and 16W.
