13TH October 2018
The National Weather Service states that unstable weather conditions will continue due to the proximity of an upper-level trough northwest of the islands. As a result, showers and thunderstorm activity will continue throughout the day. Given that the soils remain saturated, ponding of roads, minor flooding of low lying areas as well as rock falls in areas of steep terrain will remain possible. Another tropical wave is forecast to reach the islands late Sunday into Monday.
Seas will range between 3 and 5 feet across most of the local islands. Winds will continue from the southeast between 5 and 15 knots.
The DDM will continue to monitor weather conditions and provide updates accordingly.
Persons at home and abroad are encouraged to download the DDM’s Alert app in the Apple App store or Google Play store to receive updates of any hazards affecting the Territory.
