2nd May 2018 – A low-level trough system is forecast to begin affecting the territory from Thursday. The moist wind flow in combination with this system will result in a sharp increase in showers and thunderstorms across the local region. For Friday, scattered to numerous showers with thunderstorms are forecast to affect the region some of which can affect the Territory into Saturday and Sunday.
As showers are expected to be numerous there is a possibility for flooding. Residents are encouraged to take the necessary precautions to safe guard life and property.
