UPDATE – Port and airport operations in BVI and USVI

Authorities in St.
Thomas have confirmed that the Charlotte Amalie Ferry Dock was closed at 4:00
p.m. today to in and out bound traffic. The Red Hook Ferry Terminal and St.
John Ferry Dock will continue to operate until 11:00 p.m. By midnight, all
ports in the USVI will be closed.

The BVI Ports
Authority has confirmed that regular operations continue at BVI ports today. On
Saturday, Port Purcell will close at 12:30 p.m. and the Road Town and Port
Authority personnel will monitor the progress of Tropical Storm Bertha to determine
whether or not the West End Ferry Terminals should cease regular operations. 

The
BVI Airports Authority is continuing normal operations.
