Synopsis: A slow moving surface trough approaching the area from the east, coupled with a warm, light southerly windflow as well as enhancement from the favourable side of an upper level trough will heighten the chances for increased cloudiness and shower activity across the area later today into tonight and tomorrow.
Weather today: Partly sunny skies initially, with periods of increased cloudiness and a 40 percent or moderate chance of brief passing showers.
Weather tonight: Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with a 70 percent or high chance of overnight showers and a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms developing.
Winds: East-southeast at 7 to 19 km/h or 5 to 12 mph, with lighter spells at times..
