October 17th 2018 – The Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Services states that moisture and instability in the atmosphere over the region in association with a tropical wave will maintain a high chance of showers over the islands today. The Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Services also states that the air mass over the region will be less moist and unstable tonight therefore creating a moderate chance for showers.
The Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Service has indicated the possibility for rainfall during the forecast period is 10 mm to 25 mm or 0.4 to 1 inch.
Winds: Easterly at 26 to 37 km/h or 14 to 20 knots..
Seas: Moderate with significant wave heights 1.5 to 2.1 metres or 5 to 7 feet. A small craft advisory remains in effect for the waters on the Atlantic side of the islands..
The Department of Disaster Management (DDM) will continue to monitor the systems and provide updates accordingly.
